Description
Every successful person has been there
I have to say, I LOVE the Word of God. It is powerful! No matter how many times you read through a chapter, there is always a new golden nugget to be revealed and found.
As I came to prepare and write the first chapter in this booklet, the Lord led me to a parable that He shared in Luke 15.
It is the passage where the Pharisees and Scribes judged Jesus for accepting and receiving sinners and eating with them. In return, He shared the parable of a man losing one sheep out of a hundred. He searched for it and rejoiced once he found it.
He then said,
I tell you, that there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people who do not need to repent.
Even though this chapter speaks of sinners, the Lord showed me the same applies when a believer fails in life and makes mistakes.
When I look at the Scriptures, it is clear that God does not have a problem with people who make mistakes. However, it is we, or today’s Pharisees, that seem to struggle with failure.
Have you been there? You did something wrong and now you feel like an absolute failure. You made a mistake and everyone is pointing their finger at you. You wish you could disappear into the ground and not have to face the consequences. You feel defeated and squashed.
Fear of failure is a large subject, and it can feel difficult to break free or overcome. Yet in reality, it isn’t that hard to conquer. Once you know what you are looking at and how to deal with that fear, you will see that there is a way out.
In fact, you will start to see that failing and making mistakes is something that is essential in your walk through life. That is, if you desire to succeed and rise up into all that God has for you.
